This Sun Odyssey 49 is a three stateroom, two head layout. It is very open and the sense of space is remarkable. There are two aft cabins which may be converted to a very large centerline berth by removing the separating wall. The aft head is either private or a day head.
To starboard is a large navigation station with easy access to all of your Raymarine navigation equipment, electrical panels and expansive desk area with storage above and below.
The companionway is wide and affords easy access. It is not hard to imagine that working on the Yanmar engine would be relatively easy as there are three points of access; two in the aft cabins and the stairs hinge forward.
The large linear galley is to port with plenty of room for the cook and prep crew! It is complete with a large under-counter 12v refrigerator with side and top load access and separate 12v freezer with top load access. A microwave sits above with clever storage for dishes. The four-burner propane stove and oven has a cover, the large sink may be covered with a cutting board to create lots of counter space. There is storage above and below the counter, under the settee and under the salon sole. Imagine stowing supplies for weeks!
The raised settee affords visibility for many through the portals, and surrounds a large teak folding table for meals or games. And seems comfortable to stretch out and read a book or watch a movie.
The master with ensuite head is forward. Storage on either side and under the pedestal bed is notable. The head with separate shower seems spacious.
There is a large sail locker/storage garage forward and a large cockpit with several storage lockers. Loads of space to keep things stowed and out of the way.
While being introduced to the boat, I noticed that the current owner, who is quite tall, is able to move about the boat with ease. I am impressed with the accommodations and can imagine it would be very comfortable for a couple to cruise with guests or a large family.
Hurricane Hydronic Heating System with 4 zones: each cabin (3), 1 salon, and domestic hot water loop for endless hot showers.
Hot/cold cockpit shower.
LED lighting throughout.
4 burner propane Stove

November 2020: Owner has begun normal “winterizing” schedule – all bilges cleaned, personal items from summer cruises removed, fluids changed, dehumidifier running continuously, and additional moorage lines to secure for winter weather to name a few items on the schedule. Every Spring, coats of teak sealer are added to the toe rails, cabin top rails and transom steps and all systems are checked. The current owner is extremely conscientious about condition and care of the vessel 12 months a year; the boat is consistently found in beautiful condition!

All lines lead aft and power winches afford easy handling of the sails. The windlass with remote controls and the bow thruster make it a breeze to anchor or dock.
She has a huge house battery system and a dedicated 270 amp alternator as the heart of the power package. The Hurricane hydronic heat system keeps you warm throughout the year and provides continuous hot water.
