The interior of the Hunter 45 is well laid out, allowing space to create meals, enjoy a good book, complete homework or plan the next day's route.
Beginning aft, the cabin I will refer to as the main cabin, is just off center to starboard and entered via the galley or aft head. It has a queen berth (new mattress 2020), and ample storage. The head to port may either be a private head for the main cabin or used as a day head for family and guests. It is equipped with a manual toilet and extending shower arm for bathing. Forward to starboard is the L-shaped galley. It is complete with Corian counter top, a large, deep side-by-side double sink, 5 cu. Ft freezer, a top load fridge, along with a newer Force 10 stove and oven. I am impressed with the amount of storage above and below the counter as well.
The main companionway is centerline. There are four access panels to the Yanmar engine allowing relatively easy access to all sides of the engine.
To port is the navigation station with electrical panel and electronics and desk. The electronics are dated; however they are operational at the main helm.
Forward of the galley and nav station is the salon. Settees on either side with a copper-topped table between. The table expands to become an enormous table for entertaining or projects.
The forward cabin lay out is very nice. It has a double bed to starboard, a desk with storage below and along the wall to port. A sink is forward with locker storage both port and starboard. Forward is the head compartment with a vacuflush head and shower. A hatch overhead allows ventilation and light.
Furthest forward is a storage compartment which is quite large.
The exterior hull and gel coat appear to be in good condition. The deck and cockpit surfaces are painted and ready for new non-skid and attention. However, they appear to be tight with no water intrusion or deck damage. All rigging, running gear and sails are original and appear to be in good condition. The dodger was removed due to damage but is available to serve as a pattern for a replacement.
