To board, there are side transom gates located midship, port and starboard. There is a sliding door starboard which opens to the galley for easy stowage of groceries and luggage.

The cockpit, or aft deck, is fully enclosed and has side wing doors to protect from inclement weather. The main companionway is a hinged double door to fold open; expanding the living space in the salon to include the cockpit.

For a yacht of this age, the interior finish of rich teak throughout is beautiful. The design and layout highlight the quality and craftsmanship of DeFever yachts.

The salon is open and on the same level as the galley, promoting a sense of togetherness and excellent visibility. The chef will always have an excellent view! The large salon windows (replaced in 2001) provide abundant natural light, ventilation and panoramic views.

Stacking washer/dryer units are conveniently located starboard of the galley at the sliding door. A leak is present at the top corner of the sliding door; it is difficult to determine its origin. The pilothouse, up three stairs, has a settee and table to enjoy a meal or keep the captain company while underway. A pilot berth is located behind the settee. The helm is fully equipped with electronics, though dated they are operable and many duplicated. Access to the boat deck is a custom designed doorway incorporated with the radar mast which includes storage at its base.

"Plan B" refers to the accommodation layout. Access to the main stateroom, with ensuite head, is either via a couple of steps down and forward from the galley or stairs from the pilothouse. The queen island berth is athwartship. An abundance of storage is under and beside the berth and lockers at the end of the berth, to starboard. The owners disclosed a leak in the main lockers which seems intermittent and has been unable to trace. The main head has a tub shower, vanity with beautiful custom sink and an electric macerating toilet. A privacy door forward opens to the stairway from the pilothouse. The guest, or day head, with an electric toilet, custom sink and potential shower, is port. The second stateroom is forward with over-under bunks, hanging and storage lockers to starboard. Portlights and a hatch above provide light and ventilation. Furthest forward is the anchor chain locker.
