This Camano 31 Gnome appears well-cared-for from first glance. Boarding the boat via the swim step, the 7-foot lightweight dinghy is stowed and attached with a pulley system for easy deployment and retrieval. The cockpit is covered with a canvas awning for protection from the sun or inclement weather. A back window has a screen and privacy cover for cool air and to keep bugs at bay. The solid companionway door was powder coated in 2021 so it shows no signs of corrosion or wear.
The interior of the boat is open with enormous windows throughout making the boat seem much larger and affording beautiful views from the salon and 360-degree visibility from the helm station. The salon has a beautiful teak and holly sole which is in very good condition, the upholstery on the L-shaped settee is also in good condition. A custom teak and holly table replaced the original and lowers to accommodate a potential guest berth.
To starboard, the current owner installed a new leather helm chair which is well positioned for access to controls and navigation equipment and is very comfortable.
Moving forward and down three steps to port is the galley. A custom raised teak and holly floor (created and installed by the current owner) is not only a work of art but functional by providing additional storage space under the floor. The galley is complete with a Forced 10 3-burner propane stove and oven, a Chef microwave, Panasonic toaster oven, Nova Kool refrigerator with freezer compartment, a large stainless sink, custom cabinetry for dish storage (and an extensive collection of spices!), and a hanging garbage can.
Just opposite the galley is the head compartment with a vacuflush, fresh water toilet, and an extending faucet for the shower. The large mirror hinges to access all of the navigational equipment and helm station control wiring and chases.
Forward of the head is a large, deep and tall, hanging locker with two hanging rods and space for bins in the bottom.
The sleeping accommodations for two is a v-berth in the bow. There is an insert to create one large bed or remain separate for twin berths. Storage and access to the bow thruster motor is below the bed. The walls are clean with no trace of mildew nor any sign of water intrusion. The hatch above allows both light and ventilation; or enjoy watching the stars before falling asleep to the sound of gentle waves lapping against the hull.
The anchor locker is accessed via a small door at the head of the berth.

Broker's Comments

3 VIRTUAL TOURS - 1 VIDEO - 110 PHOTOS AND FULL SPECS MAY BE VIEWED OF THIS 1995 CAMANO 31 GNOME.

This 1995 Camano 31 Gnome is rare to the market ~ only a few of the 31 models were built without a flybridge. The great advantage is the additional storage available for kayaks, crab or shrimp pots; just about any additional gear may be secured to the top deck or roof top. The lower profile afforded by not having a flybridge reduces windage and allows lower bridge clearance.
This Gnome is carefully maintained (passed USCG Safety Inspection 2022 - "with flying colors"!) and has many custom upgrades: salon table, cabinetry and raised teak and holly flooring in the galley, a newer mounted leather helm chair, powder-coated companionway door. There are no visible cracks in the deck and the interior is clean and bright. She is equipped with Garmin navigational equipment and safety features.
The Camano 31 trawler line is well-known in the Pacific Northwest. Many have also found their way East and through the Great Loop. This Gnome is ready to handle a wide range of conditions, she’s sturdy and easy to operate whether alone or with a mate. Her unique Keel-form hull design with a deep bow, hard chine, full keel and protective skeg allows her to cut through the water with stability while keeping relatively dry. These boats feel "solid" and safe underway; add fuel efficiency and spacious accommodations, you have a beautiful, sturdy boat to enjoy your cruising dreams.
