This sedan-style boat is easy to board by stepping on the side deck when tending lines. The bow is wide and safe with stainless molded railings. Boarding from starboard and into the cockpit via a midship transom gate seems easiest when loading the boat. The cockpit, with propane locker and ample lazarette, has an outdoor hot/cold shower and is plumbed with a raw water wash spigot – very convenient for cleaning up after fishing or easily run a hose to the bow to wash the anchor. A ladder leads to the flybridge. On the flybridge, three side-by-side seats, and a large deck provide area to enjoy with friends. The helm is equipped with electronics. Two Coleman ice chests are custom mounted to either side. A custom radar mast is mounted near the stern of the flybridge with a boom that assists in hauling the dinghy, or a motor, and could potentially aid in a “man overboard” retrieval.
The interior feels spacious for a boat of this size and it is very efficient for Pacific Northwest cruisers. Cabin heat is provided by Webasto diesel heat while at anchor, electric heat at the dock or via engine heat underway to make this truly an “all season” boat. Large cabin windows throughout provide excellent 360 visibility and light. The windows all have custom privacy screens as well as winter covers.
Forward is the v-berth cabin. The V-berth is deceptively large, 6'5" on centerline. A hatch with screen and a custom step provides access through the hatch to the bow. The hatch and hull vents provide light and air circulation. There is storage below the berth, reading lights on both sides, and a cut-out to provide space for dressing. The berth cushions have been recovered; the walls have been recovered as well to make the area very fresh and clean. The additional cushions for the settee are cleverly stowed in this area and out of the way. (Side note: The carpet has been replaced in the main salon area. Owner reports that carpet, upholstery for berth and settee all require 13 yards of material – choose what you might enjoy!).
A large hanging locker is just aft of the cabin on starboard with a custom light and two hanging rods to take advantage of its depth. The head is next to the hanging locker, the galley to port. The galley includes an aftermarket and newer, larger Vitrifrigo refrigerator with separate freezer compartment. A stainless sink with a domestic single lever faucet, newer Formica covers the counter space, storage with custom lighting, and a microwave complete the galley.
Stepping up to the main salon area the main helm is starboard. It is fully equipped with Garmin radar, Garmin navigation, Lowrance fishfinder, Si-Tex autopilot, and bow thruster. The captain’s seat is a custom wooden chair with leather seat that folds away to create space for other small chairs when enjoying the salon area. The owner has also created a custom foot step with storage below at the helm. To port is an L-shaped settee that converts to a double berth with another custom seat that folds away, if not needed, but provides either seating or the perfect spot to set your drink.
The owner also added a custom chart holder that cleverly folds away just inside the companionway and repositioned the lazarette lock for easy access.

VIRTUAL TOUR - VIDEO - PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS CAMANO 31. This Camano 31 has loads of custom upgrades which are impressive: custom radar mast with integrated boom to aid in hauling the dinghy or emergencies, custom helm chair, upgrades in the galley, recovered berth cushions and material covering the berth cabin walls. It feels very clean and efficient. This boat is ready for “all season” PNW cruising: Webasto diesel heat, electric heat, or red dot heat will keep you warm in most conditions. It is wired for a portable solar panel in order to extend your electrical use. The Vitrifrigo refrigerator is larger than the stock refrigerator and has a separate freezer compartment. Large windows provide 360 visibility as well as light throughout the cabin and galley area making the interior of the boat seem expansive for a boat of this size.
The Keelform hull design, original to the Camano brand, is unique and well-regarded for its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency. The deep v-shaped keel provides about 25% of the hull's displacement, and above displacement speeds helps lift the stern so that water runs cleanly off the transom. The pronounced bow flair keeps the spray down and makes for a dryer boat. The deep hull provides ample capacity for the engine to be mounted in the keel, lowering its center of gravity, adding to its stability.
The boat heels very little even in tight turns. Owners speak of its stable performance in difficult sea conditions and its fuel efficiency
