Stepping aboard the swim platform you immediately notice the Boston Whaler 1388 dinghy secured by the Olsson Mfg transom lift davit. Tasteful and extremely durable, synthetic grey Sea-Dek decking covers the swim platform, steps and cockpit area. The cockpit is large enough for a small table and two chairs. Large lazarette lockers below the deck allow space for storage, the Westerbeke generator, start and house batteries. Molded steps lead to the fly bridge and also lift for access to the engine room. Steps port and starboard lead to the wide side decks and bow. The bow has a nice large lounging area that is also protected by the Sea-Dek material with extra padding for comfort.
Entering the salon via a wide sliding glass door, a comfortable L-settee is port. The wet bar with U-line icemaker, sink and plenty of storage is starboard. Forward to port is the galley complete with a full-size Frigidare refrigerator, propane stove and oven, trash compactor, dishwasher, side-by-side stainless sinks and very adequate counter space. A dinette area is directly starboard of the galley with a 50” Vizio TV installed above the settee. Acacia hardwood floors, stylish valances and an abundance of light contribute a sense of comfort and spaciousness; well suited for entertaining.
Three steps forward is the separate pilothouse with complete Garmin helm station, an L-settee, side doors port and starboard, and very large windows for good visibility. Stairs from the pilothouse lead to the fly bridge. The fly bridge is completely enclosed with a custom sliding panel and strataglass system which allows great ventilation and easy access to the boat deck. The boat deck and hatch are covered with grey Sea-Dek decking with extra padding (very easy on bare feet!) and has been converted to a seating area with four comfortable faux-wicker chairs and a small patio fire table. The helm station includes Garmin electronics, side-by-side captains chairs. A large l-settee for guests is port. Starboard is a sink and counter space with a fridge and U-line icemaker. A large cooler with seat pad is tucked behind the settee for additional seating and storage.
From the pilothouse, a stairway leads to the staterooms. Directly at the bottom of the stairs is the laundry with newer high capacity Spendide Ariston stacking washer and dryer. At the time of installation, the current owner installed a hot water line and added a 20amp 110v breaker on the electrical panel so washer and dryer may operate at the same time. The large master suite is mid-ship under the pilothouse. An abundance of storage (hanging lockers and drawers), sink vanity with separate head and shower, a 36” TV, lights with dimmers, and a pedestal queen berth combine to provide a comfortable and very private owners’ suite. The guest cabin with over-under twin bunks is forward of the laundry. The VIP stateroom with a queen island berth, 24” TV, hanging lockers and drawers for storage, with hatches for natural light, is situated in the bow. The guest head is accessible via the VIP or the companionway.
The boat is well appointed throughout with comfortable accommodations for friends and family; entertain for an evening or a week…

The Bayliner 5788 was the flagship of the Bayliner fleet during her production years and is the "sister" to the Meridian 580. Both are known for their spacious, open layout: salon and galley with dinette seating area; separate pilothouse with very good visibility; three stateroom, two heads; and expansive flybridge.
The current owners have been conscientious in completing repairs and adding custom upgrades since purchasing. For example: NEW LED lighting in engine compartment (03/2020); 2017 Boston Whaler 1388 Super Sport with 40hp Mercury outboard; Olssen Mfg transom lift davit system; custom Sea-Dek decking; replaced stern thruster; Acacia hardwood floor throughout salon and galley; replaced interior carpet and created a custom indoor/outdoor snap-down carpet on the flybridge; custom flybridge enclosure; upgraded Garmin electronics; new stacking Splendide Ariston washer/dryer... to name a few.
If you are looking for a well appointed, comfortable Meridian or Bayliner with great amenities, you will not be disappointed!
