The engines are each 6 cylinder 175 hp Hinos. The variance in engine hours is due to fishing using only the starboard engine for trolling. The owner indicates the most comfortable speed is around 12 knots and the max around 17 knots, depending on currents. Owner estimates fuel consumption as 1.2 nmpg at cruising with better economy of 2.5 nmpg while cruising at 10 knots, and about 4 nmpg at 6-7 knots. The starboard manifold and riser were rebuilt in Spring 2014; the port manifold and riser were inspected and found in good condition, Spring 2014. An electric oil changing system was installed in 2006. A freshwater spigot installed 2006 for the cockpit wash down, an electrical outlet in cockpit 2006, additional 30 gallon water tank in the lazarette installed in 2008. The generator is a 1987 Westerbeke 8 Kw, and also equipped with a Xantrex 40 amp multi-state battery charger. Engine spares include pumps, impellers and belts. Access to the engine room from the cockpit; a salon hatch also give excellent access to the starboard engine. The owner owns an auto and truck repair company and maintains his own boats and equipment; he indicates there has been no mechanical trouble.

LOA including swim step and bow is 43'. Fiberglass hull appears to be in good condition with new bottom paint February 2015 (2 coats overall, 3rd coat at water line). All zincs replaced March 2015. The current owner had her surveyed in July 2014 and is completing all of the recommendations set forth. They added a 30 gallon water tank (to total 110 gallons) located in the port lazerette to accommodate a family's water needs on extended trips. There is also an 11 gallon hot water tank. A fresh water wash helps keep the cockpit clean after a day of fishing.

When boarding this Bayliner 3818 from the swim step you notice the very large cockpit protected by an aftermarket hardtop and canvas enclosure. You gain access to the engine room via a door on the port side of the cockpit. Moving forward along either side deck to the bow is easy with secure hand holds. The bow is large and invites you to enjoy an afternoon in the sun. Entering the main salon from the cockpit, to port is a U-shaped settee with large table on an elevated platform which gives you and your guests a great view outside. To starboard, there is a wet bar with sink and ice maker. Just forward of the wet bar is the lower helm. Continuing forward, and down 3 steps, the full galley is starboard. A Norcold refrigerator and freezer, side-by-side stainless sink, Whirlpool microwave and 3-burner electric Princess stove and oven complete the galley. There is ample counter space and storage. The galley has loads of natural light and over 8 feet of headroom! Across from the galley to port is the guest stateroom with a queen berth, large hanging locker and private access to the guest (or "Day" head). The guest head appears "roomy" and has a shower with tub. The shower and tub are shared with the main stateroom by connecting doors but privacy is assured with doors on either side. The main stateroom is forward of both the guest quarters and the galley, spanning the width of the bow. There is a small vanity with storage, hanging lockers and a queen walk-around birth. A private head and basin are ensuite to starboard.
The flybridge is very roomy with an excellent 360 view. There is wraparound seating for family and guests with the helm and captains chair center. The radar arch holds a satellite receiver, radar cone, and radar reflector.
This boat has been enjoyed by the current owners on many family trips throughout the Northwest.

This Bayliner 3818 has a wonderful layout for family and friends to enjoy a weekend of fishing or a week in the San Juans or British Columbia! The wet bar and ice maker are located just inside the door from the cockpit and across the salon from the U-shaped settee and dining table -- convenient! The guest and main staterooms are large and have good lighting and storage. The galley is down with easy access from the main salon. Loads of natural light stream down from the forward windows. The flybridge is large with seating for approximately six people to enjoy a sunset!

The seller had a recent survey completed and is proceeding with the recommendations. With new zincs and bottom paint, this boat is ready for the water!
