Stepping aboard via the swim step, the 10’ Achilles dinghy is secured with an Olsson ST 275 Fork davit system; easy to deploy for a quick trip to shore.
The cockpit is protected with a hardtop; a full enclosure is currently in storage and is available for the new owners. When installed it protects the cockpit area and affords more comfortable year-round cruising. The cockpit area includes a hot/cold transom shower, storage compartments, and a bar sink with plumbing for an icemaker under the sink. Two large lazarette hatches access the generator, batteries and a large storage area on either side to store bins of supplies and additional gear.
The engine compartment is accessed via two hatches in the saloon sole; the area is simple, straightforward and clean. It is a practical setup facilitating easy maintenance. The cabin is warmed by three separate sources: two electric heaters, a Red Dot cruising heater (engine heat) and two Marine Air Reverse Cycle Heat/AC units. You will be comfortable cruising throughout the year.
Bayliner 3788s are known and respected for their efficient layout, visibility, and ample headroom throughout. To starboard is a U-shaped settee and custom teak table. Underneath the settee is the central vac system, additional storage space and one of the Marine Air Reverse cycle units. There is an insert for the settee to create a double berth for guests which is currently in the owner’s storage unit.
The port side of the salon has a TV stored in a cabinet and stereo. The area is large enough for one or two small chairs to fit comfortably for additional seating. The interior has been cleaned throughout and fresh linens and accessories are inviting. The carpets and upholstery are clean yet show a bit of wear. The privacy shades are in good condition; the LED lighting throughout the boat conserves battery power while at anchor.
The u-shaped galley is to port and just forward of the salon. There is storage above the side-by-side stainless sink; the sink faces the salon allowing a very open feeling. The electric 3-burner Princess stove has a custom cover to expand the counter space. A Toshiba convection oven and Norcold fridge/freezer complete the galley.
Across from the galley is the lower helm. It has great visibility forward and to the sides due to the large three-panel windshield and side windows and large windows throughout the salon and aft door.
Continuing forward, to starboard is the guest cabin. At the foyer there is plenty of standing headroom, and plenty of space to sit comfortably at the edge of the large queen berth. A hanging locker and storage make this an enjoyable space for guests or family. There is also easy access to the water heater, inverter, and the engines through hatches at the end and side of the bed.
To port is the shared head with a shower and four-foot-long, molded-fiberglass bathtub at its base. The toilet is a Dometic Electric fresh water toilet. A sink with storage above and below complements the compartment.
The primary stateroom is located in the bow with a large island berth which accommodates individuals 6 feet tall or more. Hanging lockers and storage to port and starboard as well as under the bed.
There is a tremendous amount of interior light and headroom throughout the boat which gives the boat a very open and expansive feel.
The flybridge is accessed via a ladder from the cockpit; there is a U-shaped settee, helm seating and bimini for protection from the sun. The hardtop over the cockpit adds additional space to store kayaks, chairs and possibly a large cooler.
