Broker's Comments
Boatshed Riviera is delighted to offer this Sea Ray 290 Amberjack, a versatile family cabin cruiser combining comfort, performance, and style.
Ideal for festive weekends and sporting activities, the Sea Ray 290 is also the perfect companion for a short coastal cruise for four people. And, as its name suggests, it is also suitable for fishing.
Sea Ray, an American shipyard well-known for the solidity of its boats, has optimised every inch of this boat, which is less than 9 meters long: intelligent layout, well-designed spaces, and meticulous finishes make the 290 a model that is both practical and elegant.
In June 2024, this boat suffered an accident due to the failure of the port engine's seawater pump. This did not cause any damage to the hull or structure (expert report available), but did cause water to enter the engine room. Following this event, both engines were completely overhauled at the end of 2024: The port engine was completely rebuilt (reconditioning + 8 spark plugs + all filters + all belts + seawater pump + entire exhaust system + fuel pump kit + starter motor + bellows kit + hoses + anodes + pressure regulator + 1 propeller + 1 manifold kit + thermostat + ignition coil + hoses for a total of 18,671 €) and the following parts were replaced on the starboard engine (8 spark plugs + elbows and manifolds with gaskets + steering pump + steering oil for a total of 2,400 €). The 3 batteries + terminals have also been replaced. Everything is therefore almost new. The invoices are available. This makes it a very attractively priced boat.
Outside, the gel coat appears to be in good condition, as do the handrails, stanchions, deck panel, and windshield. Inside, some finishing work is required to make it a cozy and pleasant place to live.
I am sure that with a new caring owner and a little TLC, it will offer you unforgettable outings, relaxing moments at sea and sporting adventures for many years to come.
In addition, this boat has a contract for its berth at Port Vauban in Antibes, which is an advantage to consider.
