Broker's Comments
The Moody 33 has been described as revolutionary for its time, leading the way in centre cockpit designed yachts. These yachts are spacious for their length, capable of sleeping 5 people, making them popular as single-handed and family cruisers. Moody 33's are renowned for their steady performance and handling ease, as a result of their deep bodied hull, wide beam and generous topsides.
Their deep cockpit with wheel steering is comfortable and secure and access to the separate spacious aft cabin is via a companionway at the cockpit aft. This yacht also benefits from wide side decks and recessed foredeck, which offers security when anchoring or working up front.
The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and offers standing headroom throughout, with plenty of storage. The L shaped seating and table in the saloon area can be easily converted into a large double berth. The navigation station can also be converted into a quarter berth, providing further space to accommodate guests. The galley is large enough to prepare meals with ease and a separate heads and double berth lie forward of the saloon area. The separate aft cabin supplies 2 single berths with plenty of storage and can be accessed via the cockpit.
With some updating, as detailed, this boat would make a great purchase for someone who is looking for a very capable sailing yacht, with a large deep cockpit, suitable for families and long distance cruising.
