Broker's Comments

We are pleased to offer for sale this Dufour 30 Classic masthead sloop, a well crafted French cruising sailboat. This particular model has the later design layout with separate forward double V berth cabin.

The Dufour 30 Classic is a comfortable and capable 30-foot yacht designed by Olivier Poncin and J&J Design. Built in the year 2000 by renowned boatbuilder Dufour Yachts, this model strikes an ideal balance between performance, comfort and value making it a popular choice among coastal cruisers and sailing enthusiasts.

The Dufour 30 Classic features a solid fiberglass monohull construction with a sleek and seaworthy profile. With a length overall (LOA) of 9.15 meters and a beam of 3.00 meters, it offers a surprisingly spacious and stable platform for its size. It comes equipped with a fin keel and spade rudder, providing responsive handling and good upwind performance.

This yacht is rigged as a masthead sloop with aluminum spars and a straightforward sail plan that makes it easy to handle either solo or with a small crew. The sail area is well-proportioned for the boat’s displacement, offering balanced and enjoyable sailing characteristics. It is known for being forgiving, stable, and fun to sail - ideal for weekend coastal cruising or extended trips for couples and small families.

Powered by a reliable Volvo Penta MD2020 diesel engine which offers dependable auxiliary power for docking or motoring in calm conditions. Fuel and water capacities are generous for a vessel of this size, with tanks holding approximately 80 litres of fuel and 160 litres of freshwater.

The Dufour 30 Classic boasts a warm and inviting layout, finished in classic marine-grade teak woodwork. The cabin layout includes two private cabins - a forward V-berth and a spacious aft double - accommodating up to six people with additional berths in the saloon.

The L-shaped galley is compact yet practical, equipped with a two-burner stove, sink, fridge. Opposite the galley is a full-size navigation station with a chart table and instrument panel. The head compartment includes a marine toilet, sink and shower.

This vessel has seen very light use, which is clearly reflected in its excellent condition both inside and out.
It has a Solar panel installation, new Racor type Diesel Filter Installation and the original Dufour Crockery still onboard.

The mainsail and genoa are in very good shape, complemented by a recently installed Harken furling system for ease of handling. The sprayhood and sail covers are also in excellent condition, having been recently cleaned and laundered.

Well-maintained and freshly serviced this year, this boat represents great value and is offered in great condition.
