Broker's Comments
This 25m ketch rigged sailing yacht was designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder Design and German Frers and custom built in 1982 by Royal Huisman. As the sister ship to the 1981/82 Whitbread Round the World Race winner ‘Flyer’ she has impeccable sailing pedigree and is a true blue-water hull.
Her 2005 refit included an almost complete redesign of the interior, including the four guest cabins and ensuite shower rooms. All of the electronic equipment was also updated, together with an upgrade in safety equipment and deck hardware, including the installation of new hydraulics.
Over winter 2021/22 The following works completed
Teak Decks raked and recaulked
Service to Hundstadt Variable pitch propellor
LCD Smart TV to saloon
Repaint to superstructure (part done ongoing works)
The accommodation comprises of a master suite and 3 double cabins, which comfortably sleep up to 8 guests. Most recently, she has been crewed by a Captain and Mate but she does offer accommodation for three crew members on board. The interior is light and spacious and the large cockpit provides an alternative dining space to the saloon.
Currently being used as a charter boat under a UK flag, she is fully MCA compliant.
